Through its Renewal Cares program, Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia was proud to partner with 12 On Your Side in 2025 to support The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, helping bring hope, warmth, and holiday joy to children, families, and seniors across Central Virginia.
Angel Tree is a long-standing community initiative that connects donors with individuals and families facing financial hardship during the holidays. This partnership allowed Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia to support a record-breaking year of giving while making a direct, local impact.
In 2025, Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia team members donated gifts for local children participating in Angel Tree, helping ensure their holiday wish lists were fulfilled. Beyond gift donations, team members also volunteered their time at The Salvation Army’s distribution center, assisting with sorting and distributing donations so they reached families and seniors in need.
By combining financial generosity with hands-on service, the team played an active role in turning donated items into meaningful moments for local households.
How Our Team Helped
A Record Year for Angel Tree Giving In Central Virginia
Thanks to the support of community partners, donors, and volunteers, The Salvation Army was able to help more children and seniors than ever before in 2025. Compared to 2024, the organization saw a 20% increase in Angel Tree and Silver Bell adoptions, resulting in over 1,000 additional families and seniors receiving gifts during the holiday season.
In addition to presents under the tree, The Salvation Army distributed critical winter essentials, including:
- More than 14,000 coats
- 1,100 bicycles for children
These contributions helped ensure community members not only experienced holiday joy, but also stayed warm, mobile, and supported throughout the winter months.
