What to Expect on Installation Day
A Rolling Workshop, Ready for Anything
Your team arrives with a “rolling workshop” that lets them handle any number of challenges on the job, including:
- Variations in door opening materials and thickness
- Changes from house settling
- Unforeseen structural damage
After a quick conversation with the crew chief about the day’s plan, we get right to work. Our installation process is simple, yet thorough.
- Prepare the area. We place drop cloths inside and out to catch debris and dust. Then we carefully remove the old door, inspect the frame for damage, and make repairs as needed.
- Clean and prep the opening. Once the opening is thoroughly cleaned, our installers set the new door in place.
- Insulate and seal the frame. Installers tightly seal the area around the frame and replace the trim around the door.
- Verify our work. Once the door is installed, we perform a final inspection to make sure everything is in excellent working order.
- Clean up. The job isn’t complete without a spotless cleanup. Homeowners often tell us the house looks cleaner after installation than it did before the crew arrived.
Once installation is finished and cleaned up, we’ll get you acquainted with your new doors by:
- Walking you through a product demonstration
- Providing tips for operation, care, and maintenance
- Answering any other questions you may have
